Request from your manager

The merchandising team is planning end-cap displays for next year. Carmen, the merchandising lead, asks for the five best-selling products of 2025 by net sales and their combined total.

Steps

  1. Insert a PivotTable: product_name in Rows, net_sales in Values, Years filter = 2025.
  2. Click the Row Labels filter arrow > Value Filters > Top 10…
  3. Change it to Top 5 Items by Sum of net_sales and click OK.
  4. Sort the values Largest to Smallest so #1 is at the top.
  5. The pivot's Grand Total now shows the sum of just those five products.
